Dan Kopelman’s comedy focuses on three periods of the life of Alex Riley: as a 14-year-old who moves to Los Angeles in 1991, as a 40-year-old dealing with the breakup of his marriage in the present day, and as a 65-year-old in 2042 who has just retired.
